The group
We are building an interdisciplinary team spanning quantum materials, ultrafast optics, terahertz magnonics, and nanoscale devices.
Principal Investigator

Thow Min Jerald CHAM
A Nanyang Assistant Professor in the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, he leads the Cham QMagSpin Lab. Before joining NTU, he was previously a David and Ellen Lee Postdoctoral Research Scholar at the California Institute of Technology, working with Prof. David Hsieh on ultrafast spectroscopy and the control of collective excitations in quantum materials. He received his PhD in Physics from Cornell University in 2024, where he worked with Prof. Daniel C. Ralph on 2D spintronics and antiferromagnetic van der Waals heterostructure nanodevices. He obtained his undergraduate degree in Physics from Imperial College London in 2017.
